probs using PHakt

Hello, I've installed DW MX and PHakt extensions etc, I'm conencted to my web hosts server, can access my database (MySQL)The problem is, I have tried a few basic pages using server behaivours such as log in user. However, all my attempts so far have not worked, once the page is executed PHP shouts a load of errors at me (usually related to the connection file on the server)
Anyone have an idea what I may have done wrong during setup?
