got to make a few new pages to fullfill the needs of our client but could do with some pointers...

the situation

a user can make a password/userid for themselves and then be sent to a very large online form. If they get sick half way through the form they can hit a button and save the details.

when they re enter after the login page they are shown the form with the content loaded into it as they left it...they then carry on and can complete more of the form and once complete they can then hit the submit buttom of the form.

I have planned the form to be a normal cgi type but need to know how best to set up a password page which then creates a session which will filter a record set on the form page by used password. I can then have the saved data load into the form for that user. to allow them to carry on.
