Hi,

I've just bumped into Tim's book "Dreamweaver MX: PHP Web Development", and i was thinking: what level of developer is the book aimed at? Is this written for beginners? Or is it aimed at the large, large community of developers who have been educated by the beatiful world of WYSIWYG tools such a DMX and have very weak conceptions of what PHP development is actually about? Is this book worth purshasing if you have been developing for a while?

I really want to get myself a nice book to enhance my skills and understanding of PHP/MySQL development but i'm not sure if this book might be aimed at the sort of level that i have (fortunetly) already crossed.

Thanks!

You can get more information about the book at www.udzone.com/go?3340 and from the book's website at www.phpdreamweavermx.co.uk

To answer your questions, though. Yes, it is a beginners book. Whilst we have tried to include something for everyone, proficient PHP coders will probably find that they know most of the content anyway.

As you aptly put it, it is "aimed at the large, large community of developers who have been educated by the beatiful world of WYSIWYG tools such a DMX and have very weak conceptions of what PHP development is actually about." and we hope to educate an enlighten a little <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

I'm not sure as to what level you of book you are hoping for poolio. Though I would recommend that you keep your eyes on UDZone over the next few days, as we have some surprises in store <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
