Hello. I am very new to the ultradev and ASP. I am using windows 2000 and have installed IIS. It seems to be running properly.

When working on a page in Dreamweaver I can hit F12 and the page works fine.

the problem is that when I try to go to the directory and open the page by itself without the assistance of Dreamweaver it doesnt work. Explorer opens with an error.

I tried to explain this as best as possible. Does anyone have any ideas?

Browse to the file again. Hold down shift and click the right mouse button. Then select open in ultradev and always associate this file type with this program. The reason ie is crashing is because it is trying to open an asp page that needs a server to run on.

It will only run if you type in localhost/mysites/default.asp

Not C:/inetpub/wwwroot/mysites/default.asp

Create a link on your address bar in IE and set it to goto localhost/ This will bring you to a directory listing of your asp sites if you have turned on directory listing and deleted the localstart.asp page.

Need more explaining... just shout.
