Im publishing stocks available for purchase, i do not want the customers to order more thna the stock reads.
how do i limit the quantity textfield in the add to cart area?

You can build a little bit of script that checks the database for the current stock level and only if selected amount is greater only display the value in the database for current stock level.

That should allow them to select 10 items say, and if only 4 in stock then 4 will only be added to the order.
