Having built a site in UD (access database, VBScript asp 2.0) using a local server I would like to upload it to the web to a virtual server. Is it just me or is there NO INFORMATION or help or tutorials whatsoever on advising you how to do this? My ISP, after giving bad advice for days, tell me that they have no-one at their company who can use UD! Can anyone tell me what I have to put in the "remote info" and "remote server" form in the "define sites" section and then where to tell the site to 'look' for the database? Is it really as hard as it seems?Thank you

Hi Mark,
ISP's can be a great pain, it helps if you understand that UDev has a built in FTP client, the settings for this client are found in the define site menu, in the application server tab screen, the following settings have to be filled in:
FTP Host:
the adress for your host, for instance www.mydomain.com
Host directory:
this would be my membership folder, for instance mysite/
Login:
Your login name.
Password:
Your password.
The FTP folder and host are usually found in your isp's support pages.
And here's a article to help you setup the connection to your database on the host system:
www.macromedia.com/support/ultradev/database/connecting_to_isp/
I hope that helps.
With kind regards,
