I know SQL is far more powerful then Access databases, but as of now I know know how to use Access. I was wondering, "Does SQL work more efficiently on server end then Access?" I've noticed that when I make ASP pages and try to access them, depending on the information, I can expect to wait 3-120 seconds for a response. When I ping the server, nothing is more then 80ms (I'm on cable) and the most populated database table right now only has 190 records. Replies

of course, it's very much faster... I think that the price tag pretty much ensures that <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
It's all about your project.. if you need faster response times, then it's time to upgrade. Of course you can always go with something like mysql or firebird (free database servers)

Thanks for the input. Problem is nowadays that things change so often. Learn one thing and bam, another comes out.
Like ASP. I'm learning it now and this ASP.NET comes out. I also want to learn SQL. Hope they don't one up that too soon ><img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
