As I go I find that I want to add text to a bunch of pages at once. One thing I have never done is put in a doctype and now that I want to, the task seems to be a daunting beast of copying and pasting into all of the
files. Is there an easier way? Any way to use a find and replace sitewide to add it, and other things I need to add, to all pages in one fell swoop?

Thanks

Just use the find and replace within DW/UD to add it sitewide <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> Do a find and replace within the source code looking for your head tag and simply replace it with your doctype and the head tag <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

on quick question...does it matter if it is before the asp that comes before the head tag? I would think since all the asp is taken care of pre-page rendering that it wouldn't...but better safe I guess.

I normally place it just before the html tag but I don't think it really matters to be honest (I could be wrong though!!!)
