Is there anyway of running ASP with MS Access without PWS or IIS - so anybody could install an admin application I am building without worrying about all the usual problems.

nope, unfortunately not... if you were using asp.net though there are possibilities... search google or 123aspx.com for "asp.net command line" if you are interested.

Re. Octopod Compiler

A friend and I were discussing the other day how he might put a dynamic site on a CD-ROM as a sort of interactive product catalgue...weird how things turn up out of the blue. Bit expensive for a one off, cool though.

So it's possible, anyone know any cheaper, or free alternatives.

Owen.

Do you think the combined knowledge of everyone in here could come up with a solution to this? why not make it a project.

If anyones interested in mucking around with the idea or has any leads then post em in this thread..

Does anyone know of any serious issues we could face?

Is it worthwhile ????
