Hi guys,

I'm making a DB application for a dentist company and they wish to print some values on a "pre-printed" form (government forms, etc..). My question is, is it possible to print within in a browser but exclude the header and footer? (you know, like the "Page 1 of 3", URL, etc..)

Thanks in advance,
Tony

You can turn this off in the browser:

Netscape, go to File, Page Setup then uncheck the check boxes for Document Title, Document URL etc.

IE, go to File, Page Setup and clear &w&bPage &p of &P from the header text box and &u&b&d from the footer text box.

Owen.

Thanks for the tip.. that should be fine.. but do you think its possible of another method? I'm only a beginner but is there a way to maybe export the values of the form to umm, maybe a PDF format or another format? I'm also worried about exact spacing for the printing because it has to match the government forms. Anyway, guess I'll play around with layers and stuff! <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> Thanks a lot though!

Bit of a headache, I recently had a similar problem, however it was only one form so I basically replicated the form with graphics and HTML and printed the whole thing.

I remember coming accross something called e-forms, e-documents or e-paper some time ago, which was designed to replicate printed documents on the web, invoices etc., but it looks as though I didn't bookmark it, try searching google. Good Luck.
