I am using Dreamweaver 4.01, WinXP, and only recently have the problem that when I am in DESIGN view and then switch back to CODE view, I am unable to do so.I have done tons of searches on Usenet and the Web but have found no suggestions which solve this problem. I have made sure that the windows are not covering one another, etc. I have changed the Properties of my dreamweaver.exe file to be compatible with Win2000 and it still does not help.
Strangely enough, I can open a page in DW and switch from DESIGN view to CODE view but after I switch back to DESIGN view, I can no longer get back to CODE view.
Any suggestions? It seems from my searches that I am not the only one with this problem.
Any help is appreciated.
Jim

It's true, you're not the only one with this problem. (hence, I'm experiencing it myself too <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
I think it's just a stupid bug that's there, because Dreamweaver wasn't written primarily for use under WindowsXP.
As far as I know, there is no way to fix this annoying little thing. (perhaps there are some bugfixes or patches on the Macromedia site?; i doubt it, though)
Maybe you could consider using Windows 2000 Professional for your webdesigning. I know I'm going to! I'm also into .NET developing and experience LOADS of problems with ISS 5 on WinXP. Windows 2000 Professional is a much more stable platform for web-developing.

Chris.
