Does anyone know how to insert a record into access without submitting a form?

I want to create a page counter that inserts and updates a field based on the date and then another field on another date. Ultimately to create a graph based on the info?

I currently have a script that creates a new txt file if the date changes so that I can see page hits per day. I want to do this with access to create some stats based on the info.

Please help!!

Sorry, but it would be little complicated to explain it here in talkzone and I don't know of any UD resource that can help. I'm using UD mostly for 'look & feel' part of the job and the rest I usually hand code. If you'd like to try to code it take a look at this: www.aspfaqs.com/aspfaqs/.

P.S. I'm sure that Owen will have some more appropriate link or explanation.
