I'm using UD4 and SQL Server 2000. On my edit page, I would like for an email to be sent to a specific person (in the future from a field ie mailing list from the db) when the status of an object is changed from open to closed and the recordset is updated.

Any ideas on how to go about this?

Also, another thing that has me baffled is when the status changes from open to closed, it would be great if it could autopopulate a 'dateclosed' field in the database.

Thanks in advance!

For sending email you can use CDONTS. Take a look at this link:
