I've posted this issue in the php forum which had been replied to by Tim Green several times. The problem is whatever I do or doublecheck again, I just can't insert new records!!I've done a clean install of my whole system again, installed IIS \ phakt \ php \ mysql, and they all run correctly!! I've read one post of someone telling me that switching to mySQL would do the trick, so I did switch from access to mysql. But still I can't write to the database!!
I received this post in my mail from someone, as a reply on my question; Am I the only one with this problem?
------
Actually yes, just tonight. I have just finished setting up Apache,
PHP4, mySQL on FreeBSD. I use Win 98se and can create pages using Phakt
and access existing records, but when creating new records nothing
happens. No errors in the logs, on the screen or anything... Just
nothing. Weird.
------
So now I now I'm not the only one, I hope somebody knows where to look, or wat to do...

This was quite easy to resolve after all,
It seems that mysql on windows will let to select records form the db without a username, but mysql on linux (RH 7.2) won't show up at all!!
Adding a simple "root" as username did the trick..
Since I was just testing I didn't set any password for the db.
