I am wondering if a few good minds can help me tackle this problem. On a corporate Intranet we like to use Javascript for "Date Last Updated" and it gets this info from the timestamp made by the server. We use this to see when documents "need" to be updated be certain owners. However we have created our own template and have applied it to all pages. The problem is that if the template is changed and saved it updates the "Date Last Updated". Can anyone think of a way to avoid this? I have thought of creating a function in Javascript that disallows my template to update the date but that won't work since the template saves the pages automatically, Last Saved Date is Last Saved Date, if I am making sense.I am wondering if one could create a macro to allow DW to update the template to all pages but prevent it from updating the timestamp. I am beginning to think there is no way around this . . . . Thanks for any help!!

If you are using a database, try this angle.... place and up date the record date in the database.
