<font face='Verdana'><font size=2>Friends,

there's a problem here since i switched to Win 2000 and reinstalled UD4 for
about two weeks now and it is driving me nuts.
If anyone of you has a clue.....i would be so grateful and happy!

When i want to connect to a DSN, UD returns an error as soon as i choose the
DSN, telling me that it can not retrieve the tables from the database.

Immediately followed by an new error: "While excuting OnChange in
SimpleRecordset.htm, a javascript error occured".

I am running UD 4 on Win 2000 pro with IIS 5. Database in question is a
simple Access-file.

My analysis up till now:
All windows-permissions for the database have been set to block nobody or
nothing.
The database permissions in Access dito.
The permissions in IIS idem dito.
It doesn't make any difference which server-model i choose. The errors are
there in both ASP and CF.
My system ODBC-files are all OK. This a brandnew Win2000 pro-installation
and just to be sure i downloaded and installed the MDAC 2.5 files form MS.
The DSN are correctly defined in Windows' Administrive Tools.
I can use the same DSN in ColdFusion Studio without any problems! It runs
like clockwork!
I removed every (server)extension that did not came with Ultradev
originally, without result.
I remade my DSN's in Windows numerous times and did the same to the site's
connections in UD4 with no result.
I also reinstalles UD to make sure no files where damaged. I made a seperate installation for UD on this machine to test it out. That second version showed the same problem.

Actually i am clueless here.

Any input will be highly appreciated.

Yours,
Tjerk Heringa
