Hi!I have used Ultradev now as long as it has been out at the store. Using Ultradev 4.01 right now.
But after i have installed Windows XP. I think it's time to throw Dreamweaver out in the snow. It's so slow so i can't work with it any longer. I should be happy if it starts at all.
No change if i work 100% local or throw a win 2000 server.
I have a clean installed windows XP PRO eng on a PIII 1000 mhz, 1024mb, and a clean raid scsi III with 4x 40Gb discs. I have downloaded all the patches from MS och Macromedia but nothing seams to work. I have even tried to use the "compabillity mode" but it don't work att all when i have activated that.
I like UD and i will not change program. SO please guys och girls help me ! i'm desperate right now. sorry for my bad english <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> sweden you know.

Hey Martin,
I would suspect that the DW/UD team hasn't fully developed compatability for the Win XP system.
Hopefully they might post a patch to get DW/UD4 and a very big maybe for DW3/UD1 to work on XP systems, but the best bet is to await DW/UD 5. That is my guess. Maybe we can all get some performance improvements in there too....
Cheers,

I experienced a similar problem when I installed and ran Ultradev 4.01 on Windows XP Professional - I was also unable to edit code.
I have now gone back to Windows 2000 Professional and I haven't looked back since!
I would suggest that you should do the same <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
