I would love to offer my users the opportunity to alter the look and feel of their page whilst online.I know it sounds mad but is it possible?

It's not so complicated. You just need to read some values from DB (color, font, image...).

Like vfarcic said, it's not so complicated. Just make sure your color, font, image. . . are dynamic and create a db for your user's preferences. Capture those values and place them in every page. does that help?
