Does anyone know where I can download the latest version of MS Personal Web Server and if so.. do I need to load additional components for ASP. I seem to remember reading an article somewhere that ASP components are not loaded with the PWS download and installation.

greets! here is the download link that you need for PWS ver. 4
this is also the PWS that ships with W98SE.

(yes, I know it says it is the NT option-pack. it's ok.)
As far as ASP being an add-on, this is no longer true. With previous versions of the PWS (MSPWS 1.0...) it was required that you run a seperate file (asp.exe) in order to achieve asp functionality.

keep in mind a couple of things...
1. PWS technologies are being phased-out of the MS "vision" and are therefore no longer being updated or supported on Windows ME or XP. Further (if you care...) FrontPage 2002 server extensions will not install to a PWS.
2. If you are going to setup the PWS on a Win 9x platform, you will most-likely get "MTS-specific" errors (Microsoft Transaction Server). you can ignore these (unless, of course you really ARE running transaction server!)

good luck!
