I am currently creating an online computer specificationsshop.

As you are probably aware that each type of product - CPU, Motherboard etc. have different specifications

How do i have a detail page that enables only information specific to the product (catagory)

You can simply make table with fields: specification1, specification2, specification3...
Depending on type of product display different captions on a page.
If it's HD: specification1 = speed, specification2 = capacity, specification3 = manufacturer...
...or different pages depending on type of product
...or one table that will be used as legend
