hello,

I'm quite new to ultradev. I used it on my windows 98 machine. And now iv got Windows ME and it doesn't work anymore. I have read a few manuals and they all talk about IIS. Is this included on my Windows ME CD or where can I find it. I tried to install pws from my windows 98 cd but the thing doesn't seem to work.

Thank you,

A beginner

put the CD in, and there should be a section about "windows components" it should be in there somewhere.

(never used ME, so tread lightly with that advice <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Basicly, Win ME doesn't support PWS (during installation you'll receive error messages) but with some tricks you can get it working. Check out this article on UDZone:

Good luck!

I am running PWS on ME and it took me an age to get it working until I found out the trick to it.

First get hold of it, I got mine off a Windows 98 cd. You'll find it it in the add-ons folder. Alternatively you can get it from the MS web site.

You will get a transaction server error if you try the normal install.

What you need to do is a custom install and deselect everything except for transaction server. TS should install without problem, you then install again and this time you get the option to add or remove components, select PWS and install it, it should continue without problem.

Hope this has helped.
