Hi Everyone,

Anyone out there fancy helping me out again <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I have just got my hands on a new Win2000 Server and need help getting the above to work on it. Also some help with setting up the domains and a few DNS entries would be great.

Initially I need to know if I can use the PHP installer to get the PHP fuctions that ImpART working.

If anyone fancies helping me with the actual box in exchange for hosting a site or two then please drop me an e-mail.

Thanks,

GT

PS. Hope this post is not off topic, appologies if not the best place.

GT,

Your post isn't really off topic, as it deals with PHP configuration.

You'll be happy to know, that using the PHP 4.06 installer (I use the .mxi version) will help set up IIS etc. There are some settings that will need to be configured manually, and if you are not at all sure what to do in that respect, then consult the Readme.txt which you will find in the PHP directory once you have installed it.

This file gives concise and accurate information about how to configure most popular web servers to run PHP as an interpreter (IIS included).

If you get any problems after installation (the most common being undefined variable warnings) then these have been covered (and resolved) on other threads in this forum.

The actual setting up of domains and DNS entries is off-topic for this group, and so I will not advise here. But this should be enough to get you started.

Hope this helps.
