Why does Netscape suck!!!

Crap, how come Netscape will not recognize UD Table background colors, or images either? Am i doing something wrong? It just seems that everything I develop in UD looks fubar in Netscape... any know fixes??Thanks,

I feel your pain... unfortunately there's not much you can do. the only advise I can give, is to make designs that "Fail gracefully" in old browsers.
either that, or take the time to learn some quick javascript to detect old netscape versions and redirect baby!!

Table background colours do work on Netscape (I test using 4.08), however you have to be careful how you apply them.
For Instance if you have a table with a backgorund image, then place another table in it, background colours will not work in this table. Background colours are fine on tables in other tables with background colours.
I'm sorry I can't explain this in terms of hard and fast rules because I always have to keep experimenting with it myself until it works.
However if all else fails there is one sure fire way to force Netscape to give you the table background colours you want.
Create a 1X1 pixel gif of the colour you want then make this the table background image.
