Hi all,

I'm trying to define a new site for one of the sites i manage. The files are all protected in visual source safe, so i've set up the remote server as a source safe database. It lets me check in and check out files straight from DW, which works fine.

The problem is when i come to ftp the file/s across. I've set up the application server, and stated that access is by FTP only. when previewing the page, it logs into the ftp, uploads the tempory file and displays it, but if I try to ftp the file from within the site manager, it just sites it in the source safe directory!

I suppose what i'm trying to ask is is it possible to setup sourcesafe on a site and still ftp files accross to your server, all via the site manager?

Thanks in advance,

Ian

hmm, I haven't come across this issue before, but here's my guess.

I believe that there will be four arrows on the site manager... the first two are "upload and download" and the next two are "check in, check out"
If you are clicking the check in arrow, then all your are doing is putting it back to sourcesafe... after you check it in, then upload it with the other arrow.
