The native date format on any PC or Server is initially set when the operating system is installed, it can then be adjusted by going to Start - Settings - Control Panel - Regional Options. If you set your Locale or Location to English (United Kingdom) you will get dates like dd/mm/yyyy, if you set it to English (United States) you will get mm/dd/yy and so on.
Using a bit of VBScript you can overide the Locale settings and have your Date, Time, Currencies etc. in any format you wish.
