Just as i thought was all going well

Just when everything seemed to running fine a new problem arises. now when i try to access any asp page from the main page it either a)takes for ever to find the page and returns a error 500 with a root to some file which looks to be on my hosts system b)it goes to the page and it is blank, looking at the source it is just<html>

and that is it.
now is this something that i have done wrong or is it my host. i have sent them emails but they have not replied.
