Steve, first a couple of quesitons. Does it work on your PC...? Framesets can be a bit tricky. I went to your url, but can you give me more information. How many frames.... Did you name each frame separately and finally are all the frame files in the same directory. If not how have you set up the reference to the other files? Using literal or by root reference....
Many here do not like the frame set, I have used them in the past and once you understand the structure and how it fits together, they can work well as well as reducing your end users download time... Also try naming the mainframe set to index.htm or html.... I notices that when I followed your URL the error message displayed was frametest.htm not found.

Hi
Thanks for your kind help.
I had three frames plus the frameset
The frames do not work on my PC or on the server.
The frames are saved in the root directory
Frametest.htm is on the directory - this error message is the same on my PC and the server. So it looks like the problem is the frameset recogises that there are 3 frames but can't find the frame files.
Aaarrrggghhhh
Thanks
Steve

i dont know if this will help you but this example is pretty fail safe...
to better understand the way frames think do the following..
make a folder for specifically for this test..
Open NEW document...(save nothing yet)
Insert Frame (left)...
now click on the right frame and
Insert Frame (top)...
Now you have your three windows (html pages)
Now click on the frameset itself...(the lines seperating your frames (pages)
save that first (as htm or html...
dreamweaver likes to make everything an asp by default)
then click on your left page and save that..
then click on your top page and save that..
then click on your main page and save that..
walla !....after they are saved go ahead and hit f12 cause that should work !!!
later you can assign what page you want in what frame with the frame inspector...
but for now get those frames working...
hope this helps.....someone...
happy weaving !....JBOMB
