UD hangs on FTP
02 Oct 2001 02:10:00 sam sam posted:
Hi All,I am having trouble transfering files to the server. I can make a connection, everything checks out there, but if I try to put or get the site manager freezes. I must <ctrl-Alt-Delete> and 'End Task' to get the machine back again... and the file transfer does not take place.
This happens regardless of the site (ie. on more than one site). It also happens regardless of how many sites are on the IP (one or three) using 'Host Headers', or if there are NO 'Host Headers'. I have tried using both IP number and URL and can connect
using both, but still the same problem either way.
Anyone hear of this before, and/or have a solution, or point me towards some info.
Server: PIII 750, WIN2KSP2 (although this
problem occurred before SP2 as well)
This is on a live website (with lots of files) and sites in development (few files).
Any help is appreciated
TIA
SAM

Hi Ben,
So, this is a common problem? (Any one else ave the same problem?).
I have an FTP program, and do use it, but I wondered what was up with UD. I have never been able to get it to work, and as this is built in, I thought it odd.
Thanks for your input.
