The background look in the URDTemplate, is it a gradient? There's a shadow line up top and 2 grey stripes in the footer. Where do I find it so I can make my own and replace them?

Hello Micheal.

No it is not gradient, it is a css rule.

For the top dark line you need to open
"boilerplate.css" file and change the hexcode of the following rule:
body, button, input, select, textarea {
    color: #222222;
    font-family: sans-serif;
}

note that it will change also the color of the navigation and other elements on the page.

for the footer two lines

1.)for the first line you need to open "style.css" file go to line 104 and edit the following lines of code:
#footer {
    background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #3A3A3A;
    color: #868686;
    margin-top: 80px;
    padding: 35px 0 15px;
}

2.) note that the second line of the footer is mixture of the rules for color created from "boilerplate.css" file and "style.css" file.

Woosh. Thanks. I'll check it out. I assume that what you report also affets what looks like a shadow across the topish.

Nope. It's not the top dark line but the line that falls beneath the navagation area. It makes the top area where the logo and nav menu are look like they are on a raised band because of what appears to be a gradient. Maybe a tiny image that writes all the way across the "x" direction.

The bottom info you gave me changes the color of the text which I already figured out. It is the 2 gray bands underneath the text that throw me.

Again, I had figured out how to change the color of the text. It would be nice to figure out how to make clicking on the Facebook etc icons in the footer link to Facebook rather than just do a roll over effect.

But it's those 2 color bands below and the shadow gradient above that get me.

I can't believe the trouble I hade figuring out the bottom 2 colors. Sorry! But I still haven't figured the shadowline below the menu.
