I have a form updating a database but the combination of Pure ASP upload and Advanced HTML editor is not working. If i <i>just</i> update the form without Pure ASP upload added to the page, then the advanced HTML editor will work fine. BUT, if i add in the Pure ASP upload to give the user the ability to upload pitures as well, then the text that is in the advanced HTML editor gets all messed up when the form is submitted. For example, if i enter the following text:

<font color=red>Although the present name: Graphcom Printers Ltd. has been used only since 1985, the company's roots go back to Lethbridge's first daily newspaper and commercial printing operation, started in 1907 and then known as the Herald Job Shop. Over the years, the present company has had a number of owners and names: Herald Job Shop, The Herald Printers, Ronalds Federated, Ronalds Western. In 1985 the company was purchased by Gerry and Coby DeHeer from Ronalds and took on its present name, which is a combination of what printing is all about: GRAPHic COMmunicatoins. In 1994, Graphcom was purchased by Jack and Laura DeHeer.

Under Ronald's ownership, the company operated form some time in a space leased from the Lethbridge Herald. Graphcom now has its own building which encompasses over 14,000 square feet and is located at 1009 - 2 Avenue South in Lethbridge, Alberta. Historic roots in themselves do not necessarily make a company successful; it is the value of its people combined with up-to-date technology. </font id=red>

When i submit the form, it messes up the text so that it looks like this:

<font color=red>in Lethbridge, Alberta. Historic roots in themselves do not necessarily make a company successful; it is the value of its people combined with up-to-date technology.</font id=red>

Has anyone else had this problem? Any help is appreciated.

Hi Trevor,

Could you make sure you are using the latest version 3.03 of the Pure ASP Upload? You can see that in the generated ScriptLibrary/incPU3Class.asp file on top of the source.

Greetings,
George

Hi George,

Yes I am using the latest PURE ASP upload (3.0.3). I am also using Advanced HTML Editor version 2.0.5.

If you would like to view what is happening, goto graphcomprinters.com/beta/admin/main/content.asp?conSection=company and enter the text I have indicated above and try to "Update" the text. It will take you to a SUCCESS page, and then you will need to go back to graphcomprinters.com/beta/admin/main/content.asp?conSection=company to see the results.

It is messed up. As soon as I take out the PAU, then the text will update flawlessly.

Hi Trevor,

This is indeed a very weird case - we are investigating right now to see what is causing it.
Hopefully we can find a solution soon.

George

Thanks George and Crew, the new update seems to have cured the problem.
