What to Expect This Week

Our developers have been working on a number of great improvements for DMXzone Bootstrap 3, DMXzone Bootstrap 3 Elements, DMXzone Bootstrap 3 Navigation and of course their free add-on DMXzone Bootswatch extension. In today's designer showcase we'll give you a sneak preview of what to expect on Wednesday because we used one of the future included themes in DMXzone Bootswatch - the Sandstone. Check out the demo below and see how great this new theme looks on a page along all Bootstrap 3 tools and HTML5 Animate CSS.

Search Flickr Photos with Geo Location

We have another great demo page to show you today where you can use a search field in order to look for photos with Geo location in Flicker and display them on a map. For this showcase we used DMXzone Google Maps 2 to display our map. We also used Flickr public feed from HTML5 Data Bindings data source for the images. With the help of HTML5 Geo Location you can enter tags in the search filed in order to search for photos with Geo location which will be displayed on the map.

Share Your Location on a Map

In today's showcase we created a page that displays locations on the map. In order to do that we used HTML5 Geo Location which stores your current location when you hit the "share location" button. Once your location is shared, the DMXzone Google Maps 2 automatically displays the last 10 shares from the database. If you don't want to share your location you can only preview the last 10 shares by hitting the button. For the storage we used HTML5 Data Bindings and DMXzone Database Connector PHP/ASP to establish the connection and DMXzone Database Updater PHP/ASP to insert the current location.

Dynamic Fullscreen Gallery with Bullet Navigation

In our latest showcase we created an awesome dynamic, fullscreen gallery using our latest released extensions. We built up the gallery, with images from a local JSON file, and paging(bullets) navigation using HTML5 Data Bindings and HTML5 Data Bindings Extended Repeater. Using HTML5 Data Bindings Browser Properties we set the width and height of the gallery to match the width and height of the browser viewport. We also used orientation check. When a user loads the page into a portrait-oriented device, a message is being displayed - "Please use your device in landscape orientation". Additionally, HTML5 Animate CSS is used for the fade effect when an image is changed.

Bring Music or Sounds to Your Pages

Using our recently improved HTML5 MP3 Player, we build a page with some funny horse sounds which you can hear on more click wherever you see the word "horse" in the description. Of course, for the page layout we used the most famous DMXzone Bootstrap 3 so it can be fully responsive, DMXzone Bootstrap 3 Elements for the content and DMXzone Bootstrap 3 Navigation for the menu. Last but not least, we have some tips which appear on hover with the help of Advanced Tooltips.

An Amazing Page with Extended Bootstrap 3 Collection and Animator

For today's showcase we used DMXzone Bootstrap 3 to create the responsive page layout and DMXzone Bootstrap 3 Elements for the page content. For the HTML elements of the content we also used HTML5 Animate CSS which triggers the animations on page scroll. The page offers horizontal as well as stacked navigation, the stacked one has been animated with the Advanced CSS Animator. Last but not least we used the cosmo theme from the DMXzone Bootswatch. All of the extensions except for the Advanced CSS Animator are nicely packed in the Extended Bootstrap 3 Collection.

Animate Repeat Regions on your Page

Just before the weekend starts we have one more demo in which we will show you the power of animated repeat regions and how amazingly they look on a web page. For this showcase we used DMXzone Bootstrap 3 and its Elements to create the page layout and its content.  Thanks to HTML5 Animate CSS we managed to animate the HTML5 Data Bindings repeat region.
