CSV or Text Import
I am in desperate need to an extension that will let you import csv or text file into access or sql database.
My boss ask me to create an affiliate program called contact management were the affiliates will have the option to mess upload their contact list into their contacts database, I sow something like that on some other site and the way it works is:
The affiliate logs in click on a link called "Upload Contact list" they brows their hard drive looking for a csv or text file once found they are presented with the data, something like FirstName, LastName, Email, Phone, etc
Above each column (FirstName, LastName...) there is a Drop down menu where they can match each column to the appropriate field in the drop menu and hit upload boom done
Basically the same thing happed when you import excel file to Microsoft Outlook contacts
Please make it happen I know I am in good hands and someone on DMXZone always listen

What You Want Is Not An Extension
This is not an extension. This is a Web Application. The difference being that an extension enhances the ability of a Macromedia product. What you are asking is outside the realm of a Macromedia product. What you want to do is contact a Web Developer to fullfill your companies needs.
You may want to post a contract on a site such as eLance.com. Make sure you read the terms and conditions before doing so though. I'm sorry and I hope this helps.
RE: What You Want Is Not An Extension
Well I have to disagree. This can be definately solved with an extension. I'm currently planning such an extension that will allow you to map the CSV fields with your database fields - so an import can be done automatically.
Just like you upload an image file and save its name to the database with an extension - why not have an extension that will auto import a CSV file?
RE: RE: What You Want Is Not An Extension
I've very inteterested in an extension like this.
Is there an extension that will export data from a SQL or ACCESS DB into a csv file?
Thanks,
Michael

What's you progress on this? If you have something and I haven't seen it, please let me know. I'm about to spend a couple of days creating this but hell I'd rather have something like you've done ready to go!
