I have used Dreamweaver since Dream 2 and I use Windows 9x and also use large fonts enabled. I see quite a few people, like me out there that like to view Windows and the Interent with Large fonts enabled. This results in less eyestrain working 15 hour days. I recieved Dream 4, and to my suprise.... I get a message that says "Dream 4 works better in Small Fonts". I'm a Web Developer and want to know if anyone has any suggestions about this Large Fonts issue. I have tried to find an answer to this question for a long time now. To me, the worst thing you could do is Design web pages in small fonts and then get a viewer with "Large Fonts" enabled and have them see your website overlap all over the place. I've tried CSS too. To no avail. Big D

D,

As webmaster for a big company's financial department i have to disagree, having the option to limit the visitor to YOUR preset font is cool, but in the end it comes down to visitors complaining that your site is hard to read for them and as a result they stay away, using the phone instead.
It is possible to disable the increasing font's in the IE browser series, but i don't recommend it. Do you want to sit with your nose against the screen when your eyesight is getting worse simply because the site's webmaster felt he should implement that feature ?
I know I wouldn't, neither would my visitors, but if you really NEED this feature then search the technotes at macromedia.com, there is a HUGE index and if that isn't enough then there's always the search which searches past technotes too.

I recommend to simply design your site so that it can handle bigger fonts, should be no big deal, since most sites use images for navigation and text just for that purpose and usually just in one place.

Dennis,
Thanks for answering my question. So, I have been doing it right all along but designing html text in large fonts. That way there will be no overlaps if the website is veiwed that way. I just could never get an answer from anyone if there is a workaround. Now I know there is NO WORKAROUND this issue. Big D
