Dreamweaver CC2017 not detected in DMXzone Extension Manager
How to fix missing Dreamweaver CC2017
Question: I've installed the new Dreamweaver CC2017, and I'm running the latest version of DMXzone Extension Manager but Dreamweaver CC2017 does not appear in the dropdown list. I tried restarting both Dreamweaver and Extension manager a few times, but the problem still exists. How to fix this?
Answer: Sometimes, during the installation Dreamweaver creates two language folders in its app data folder. There must be only one language folder, as the other one is unnecessary and causes this issue. In order to locate which of the two folders should be deleted do the following:
- On Windows
- Go to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CC 2017
- On Mac
- Open Finder and press Shift-Cmd-G. Type ~/Library/Application Support in the dialog box, and click Go. Then open Adobe/Dreamweaver CC2017/
If there are two language folders inside (the language folders are named like: en_US, de_DE, nl_NL ... etc.) find which of them does NOT contain the following file: Configuration\version.xml
The folder, which does not contain this file, should be deleted. After deleting the unnecessary language folder restart DMXzone Extension Manager and you will see Dreamweaver CC2017 in the menu.
