Flash timeout during mult-image upload

Has anybody come up with a solution to the "A script in this movie is causing Flash Player to run slowly" alert?Using the Flash multi-file thingy in PureASP Upload 3
My client needs to upload anywhere from 1 to 200 images daily, and having to click "No" every 15 seconds is simply out of the question.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Rob,

I have also the same problem with flash upload control. Maybe the DMX-team can re-design the extension without a flash uploader. Maybe they can use for example a html listmenu. Some providers with webmail work with this.

Thanks for the reply. Not sure what to do here. The ONLY reason I upgraded from PAU 2 to PAU 3 was for the multi-image thing. Now it seems I've wasted time and money. So bummed.
I've had nothing but good experiences with DMXZone extensions until now.
I guess it's time to see if I can get my money back, and look elsewhere for a functioning application/extension.
Cheers.

Hi Rob,
I agree with you. DMX have to find a solution for uploading large data without any problems. I updated from PAU 2 to PAU 3 for the multiple file uploading. Now I have some clients complaining about the flash upload control abort script. I cannot sell clients you have to stay behind your computer while uploading 400 mb of data because flash gives an abort script.
DMX zone we can't sell this to our customers and your company can't sell this to us and tell us that problem is with the flashplayer. Please redesign the flashuploader or find another way to upload large data without interruption.

Thanks for your input.
I have sent an email to the DMX folks (due to their lack of response to this forum post I have to assume they don't read the forums).
Basically, I asked them whether or not they have figured out how to fix this problem, and if not I need a refund.
I also asked them if I could get a copy of the .fla they use for the script.
My intention here is to see if I can get the flash function to talk to itself so it doesn't think it's stalled.
I'm thinking maybe a 14 second setInterval that increments a global variable, or something simple like that.
It would probably only add a few bytes to the .swf, and who knows, it might actually work <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
It seems absurd that the geniuses here at DMX haven't considered an overly simplistic solution like that, but you never know.
Either way, I'll post their reply when (or if) it ever comes.
And if they actually kick me the .fla I will definitely let everyone know if I get it to work.
Cheers!

Still nothing from DMX.
Got your message MX Addict, and I'll look into your idea.
Would rather not dump any more cash into a solution that may or may not work.
As for the no reply from DMX...
HEY DMX GUYS...ARE YOU IGNORING ME ON PURPOSE?!?!?!
Sure feels that way.

We didn't ignore you on purpose. We have tried to prepare solution to this issues.
The problem is that this issues rarely appear on our computers and it is quite difficult to reproduce and test.
Nevertheless, we have prepared new version of the dmxPureUpload.swf file which should fix the problem.
I will send you and email. For more details please check your email.

Yo George, I didn't mean to be rude.
It's just that I needed to have something completed for a client by Wed and I wasn't getting any feedback from you.
I have tried the .swf you sent me and it seems to be working.
I'll let you know if any future issues arise.
Thank you very much for ironing out this issue...it reasserts my faith in your genius.
Hopefully you will incorporate this version of the .swf in a soon to be released update to the PAU3...there are more poeple facing this problem.
Cheers.

Hi George,
I just use the new dmxPureUpload. swf version. I did a upload of 20mb and had no 'flash abort script error'. I replaced the new version with older version and did the same upload of 20mb. I received the common 'flash abort script error'.
I think DMX found the right solution for the 'flash abort script error' with the update dmxPureUpload.swf
Thanks.

Hi David,
The fix for this issue is applied as a code into the flash file of Pure ASP Upload 3 and works only for this extension.
It seems that you have not purchased this product. Therefore, the fix will not help you much (It will not prevent the problem to appear on other flash applications. It only prevent to appear on Pure ASP Flash Upload).
